Today sees the launch of Trackmania Turbo, Ubisoft's racer for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Well, it does unless you preordered the game on PS4. Oddly, an issue specific to the PS4 is locking preorderers out of the game, only letting them play the trial version.
A thread reporting the problem appeared on Sony's forums yesterday, with Stone_Henge_ saying that:
"I preordered Trackmania Turbo yesterday for $62NZ. I went to play it this morning and it said that i am only playing the trial version and i need to pay another $69NZ to unlock the full game."
After ten pages of responses from other people experiencing the same problem, a community manager from Sony, KingGabbo, replied to say it was aware of the problem:
"We are aware of an issue affecting pre-orders of Trackmania Turbo where users are unable to access the full game. We are working on a resolution and will update you as soon as we have any further information."
Eurogamer reports that its readers have been told by Sony to "restore licenses" but that this hasn't solved the issue.
If you didn't preorder the game then you should be able to play fine.
