EA’s Need for Speed reboot will be available on March 15 but you can “Play First” if you are a member of Origin Access
If you have Origin Access on your PC then you can qualify for a game trial of Need for Speed. Electronic Arts is all set to release the game's PC version on March 15 — and if you are an Origin Access subscriber, you can play up to 10 hours of the game as part of the "Play First program." The PC version is enhanced with unlocked framerate so you can get up to 4K resolution. The game will also feature manual transmission vehicles, and support for selected steering wheels. On top of that, EA has incorporated all updates from the console versions so the PC version will actually be better than the rest.
What’s more interesting is the fact that you get 10 hours to play. If you are a fan of the franchise, the time is enough for you to finish the main story and decide if it’s something you want to invest in. 10 hours is a lot for a racing game. It is probably the best racing game from last year that released on both Xbox One and PS4. The fun arcade title blends the street racing culture of the Underground series with car customization options, police pursuits, and even drag racing in one package.

The only downside to NFS is that it requires you to log into EA’s servers which can be a hassle sometimes i.e. if at any time, you lose your Internet connection you can’t play the game. Think of NFS as a half-baked version of Destiny if it were a racing game.
Origin Access is quite similar to EA Access on Xbox One. For $4.99 a month, you get access to 15 games from EA’s Vault and 10% discount on digital games. You also get some awesome game trials such as this one so it’s not a bad idea to subscribe. If you are a member already, then it’s better to take advantage of the trial as you may not need more than 10 hours to make a decision.
