Along with news that framerates wouldn’t be capped in Doom, the PC version will allow players to “dial the experience up or down” based on preference or hardware capabilities.

In a post on the Bethesda website, id Software said certain PC features in Doomweren’t emphasized during beta for “various development reasons,” and assured at launch it will host a “comprehensive set of advanced game and rendering options.”

The PC version will also support ultra-wide 21:9 monitors to allow for a wider FOV and other visual fidelity and performance features.

Expected advanced PC settings include:

Manually Lock Framerate (un-locked by default)
Lights Quality
Chromatic Aberration Toggle
Shading Quality
Post Process Quality
Particles Quality
Game F/X Quality
Decal Quality
Directional Occlusion
Reflections Quality
Depth of Field Toggle

The developer also said it has plans to broaden the minimum PC specs further its current expectations. More information on that will be revealed between now and launch next month.
